birthday

i have spent the weekend celebrating my 25th birthday. thursday we spent the evening with dave's family, friday we went out for dinner and this morning dave surprised me flowers and cooked me breakfast!

tonight we are having a christmas party with dave's family since they are heading to oklahoma for christmas!

o chistmas tree

this has been such a fun christmas, our first married chistmas. we had so much fun decorating our first christmas tree and even more fun sneaking presents under it and seeing each others surprise to see yet another gift under the tree! somethine about a christmas tree just makes home feel a little bit cozier and more like home.

it's the most wonderful time of the year--christmas has hit the asay home!

temple lights

the temple lights here at the mesa temple are probably one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen. the entire temple grounds are covered in lights and christmas displays. on sundays they even have live christmas music by different choirs and bands and family groups. if you are in the area it is definitely a MUST do.

it's the holiday season

wow, it's been forever since i checked in! just thought i would share a picture of me with two of my roommates and santa at our ward christmas party. it has been a little harder getting in the holiday spirit this year. it's hard to think christmas when you can still wear just a t-shirt outside, but yesterday my roommates and i put up christmas lights which definitely helped!

white trash christmas bash

this past weekend i went to a white trash christmas bash...and let me tell you, it was a trashy blast! the party was complete with white trash decorations, white trash white elephant gifts, white trash treats, and as you can see, white trash costumes. i never knew being white trash could be so much fun!

cards, books, and a movie

i finished my christmas cards yesterday. they didn't turn out exactly how i imagined, but i do like them, although they were a lot of work! i was a little frustrated because i slaved away yesterday putting the final touches on the cards to have them ready for the card party which was supposed to be last night. just as i was finishing up i found out the card party is being rescheduled for next week.

oh well, at least i have them done.

in other news, i went and picked up my check from the christmas boutique yesterday and was pleased to see that i sold more than i thought...still not as much as i hoped...but more. i guess in my haste to get my stuff all put away i failed to keep an accurate inventory.

oh, and in other news i got twilight tickets for this weekend. despite my love/hate relationship with the books i am surprisingly excited to see the movie.

it's time to deck the halls

halloween is over and we all know what that means...christmas is here! yesterday i attended the greenhurst nursery christmas open house...a must do in order to officially ring in the christmas season. i love sipping on their oh so delicious hot cider while walking around the quaint shop browsing at all things christmas. trees. ornaments. gifts for both child and adult. wreaths. bubble lights galore. you.must.go.
