i don't think there is anything hotter than seeing david with hazel. he is such an amazing dad.
it was a perfect saturday. the best part of moving is discovering all the newness around me. how did you spend your weekend?
one thing i really miss from arizona are all the beautiful citrus trees. especially the lemon trees. i always told david that if we owned a house in arizona we had to have a lemon tree in our front yard. they are so beautiful and add a lovely splash of color. mmm and they smell so sweet. not to mention how tasty fresh arizona lemons, oranges and grapefruits are... . . i think one of the harding moving adjustments was coming from beautiful warm arizona weather with citrus trees full, flowers blooming and sun shining to cold, snowy, brown, icky idaho weather. the other day i was really missing the sun and to my delight clients at work brought in bagfuls of fresh arizona produce they brought back from a trip. all week i have been feasting on delicious, juicy, arizona oranges and grapefruits. it has made idaho weather a little more bearable. . . enjoy your friday, kira . post edit: what is going on??? now blogger won't give me any spaces!!! am i just technologically challenged or is this an issue with the website? i have never had trouble like this before!
here we are in idaho! the past month has been a busy blur but we are starting to feel settled. david started work the day after we moved here and i started work just two days later, so we didn't have much time to rest and unpack. we have now been here a month and i am starting to feel adjusted enough to start blogging again!
right now i am in the process of moving {(again) gotta love single life}. my roommates are also all moving out so my landlord decided to hire a cleaning crew to come in and deep clean the apartment before new tenants move in. he should have waited a little longer to have the cleaners come in because trying to pack and having people come in and clean around your packing is not the best experience. i started with my packing and so i had my possessions sorted into what i want to go in each box. well, i left town for the weekend and came home to find my house a little too clean. the cleaning people put everything i had sorted in various random locations in the house thinking (well, i don't know what they were thinking) they were being helpful. Now I get to go back through all of my things and sort and box them again. not only that, but i am really curious what they were doing when they cleaned the shower. i was in the shower and suddenly the shower door (the sliding kind) collapsed on me. it was a heavy door! it was definitely an adventure trying to fix the door while i was in the shower, wet, shampoo in hair (and eyes). sheesh.
i can't believe i am actually posting this picture by choice--it is hideous--but sadly it is one of the only pictures i have here in arizona so far. even though i despise the picture, i love the story behind it.
hello my loves. it sure has been busy around here. sometimes i sure am envious of sabrina the teenage witch; i wish i could nod by head or snap my finger and have boxes packed, messes cleaned and and cute new outfits worn. yesterday i spent the entire day packing packing packing. i have just three more days and then i'm off to arizona! besides the packing it has been a fun week of picture taking, (finally got some polas) tennis playing, and goodbye saying.
i'll be sure to check in at least once more before i leave.
hello there.
i just love september. i really think it is my favorite month. the perfect mix of fall and summer fun. i have a whole list of things i want to do this month:first of all, i need to apologize. i have been THE WORST blogger ever lately. sorry.
.
secondly, can i just say that i am so over the snow? i have been trying really hard to enjoy it, but commuting to work causes me to spend more time hating rather than embracing. on monday morning i woke up nice and early to a blanket of fresh white snow. because of the blanket of beautiful white snow i spent four hours in the car driving to and from work. four hours! tuesday it was the same story. yesterday i left home extra early because i wasn't sure how long the drive would take me. it took me half and hour, which meant i got to work an hour early. aye aye aye.
okay, enough whining.
.
in other news, i am officially moved into my new house and am loving it. my roommates, alexis, vanessa, kaylene, heather and melissa, are the greatest. i am also adjusted to my new job and am loving it also! the pay is not anywhere close to what i was making in texas, but it is decent for idaho. plus i do get the opportunity to earn commission and i haven't been doing too shabby in that department.
.
so, even though life has been hectic and the snow has been driving me nuts i am managing to squeeze in some fun! i promise that i will make an effort to be a more active blogger!
.
until next time,
kira
well, here i am--back in idaho. i felt such an intense mixture of emotions as i was leaving texas, but now that i am home i feel very much at peace. yesterday was a little bit like christmas for me because i found all sorts of treasures that i had left at my parents house. winter clothes and shoes (you just don't need to wear uggs in texas), jewelry and purses, scrapbooks...so much fun going through everything.
