speedy shopper

i took this picture of claire at market place; she was running down the isle with her cart and was very impatient when sarah and i would stop to look at things. it's funny because this picture really is an icon for how i am feeling about my life. too often i play the role of speedy shopper instead of taking time to stop and really look at the variety of salsas or to search for the most crisp apple. with this new year i resolve to pay attention--to really pay attention: take too many pictures, laugh too loudly, take a different route to work (although there aren't too many to choose from). i want to really live.
